so these images are the most recent. it is often a struggle to figure out why you take any given picture. this grouping is interesting to me because of their subtle obscurity. there is something within them. . . a bizarre place of worship, a dark area amidst dense vegetation, a t-rex that looks like it is on the hunt, the emptiness and softness of a pool at dusk. reason enough?? the reason i look for reason is in part due to a suggestion by the owner of M+B gallery in LA who said that i must find what i love. i drove to the salton sea, joshua tree and then ended back in golden gate park and i still don't know what i love but i took these pictures anyway.

i blog. why not? everyone else is doing it. but really there is some need to lay it all out there. it might take me awhile to figure out what the purpose of this blog is but it probably has to do with the less professional side of creating images. i take so many pictures that don't end up anywhere. maybe this is where they will end up. sounds good to me.
